Michael Nagrant the Chicago food writer and blogger, is currently doing his top 50 influential Chicago chefs. Over the next two months he will break down who we should check out “the big heat” and why. Currently at number 47 with David Friedman the man behind Epic Burger, Nagrant credits Friedman for bringing the tasty “Mindful Burger” to Chicago. But, being Greek and constantly disappointed in the Greek food scene, I really want to check out number 49, David Schneider. Nargant likens Schneider to Rick Bayless, crediting him for introducing Chicago to authentic Greek food.
